Profile

Dr. Tahmina Foyez is an Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Pharmacy at United International University, Bangladesh . She earned her B. Pharm. degree from the Department of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka, and M. Pharm. degree from Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacology, University of Dhaka in 2007 and 2009, respectively. In 2015, she completed her PhD degree under the supervision of Professor Kenji Kadomatsu in the Department of Molecular Biology, Graduate School of Medicine at Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan. Dr. Tahmina then served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, North South University, Bangladesh until March 2021. She also served as a Production Officer (Sterile section) in Incepta Pharmaceutical Ltd., Dhaka, Bangladesh from August 2007~March 2010. Dr. Tahmina worked with Professor Rafal Pawlinski  as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Hematology, Blood Research Center, School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA in 2022. She actively worked on Women Leaders Program to Promote Well-being in Asia from Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan during December 2013-September 2014. She has published extensively in many high-impact journals and publishers, including Nature Publishing Group , Wiley, Springer, RSC Advances, Taylor and Francis Group, ACS Omega , Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences , The American Journal of Pathology, Journal of Histochemistry & Cytochemistry and others. Her current research interests are focused on Sickle cell Disease, Venous thromboembolism, Glycoprotein, Sugar chain, Sulfotransferases enzymes, Neurodegenerative diseases, Nanomedicine.
