Welcome to the official website of the Department of Pharmacy at the United International University (UIU). We are thrilled to announce that our Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) program has been approved by both the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh and  the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh (PCB) in 2023.

At our department, we are committed to delivering quality education and conducting cutting-edge research in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Our comprehensive 4-year B. Pharm. program spans 8 semesters and with a total of 160 credits. It offers a wide range of knowledge in pharmacy and related fields. To support our academic pursuits, we have fully equipped state-of-the-art laboratories, including the Inorganic and Physical Pharmacy Laboratory, Organic Pharmacy & Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory, Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry Laboratory, Pharmaceutical Analysis Laboratory, Pharmaceutical Microbiology Laboratory, and Physiology & Pharmacology Laboratory.

Our B. Pharm. program aims to produce highly skilled pharmacy graduates capable of excelling in all aspects of pharmaceutical services. As part of the program, students undergo three months of non-credit training in hospitals upon completion of the course and one-month in-plant training in the pharmaceutical industry. These experiences aim to cultivate competitive professionals who can thrive nationally and internationally.

Our B. Pharm. program opens up diverse opportunities for graduates in various sectors of the healthcare system, including industrial pharmacy, pharmaceutical marketing, hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, community pharmacy, and research, among others. With the advancement of new and potent drugs, pharmacists now play a crucial role in providing patients with accurate medication information while ensuring drug safety and efficacy.

As the Head of the Department, I take great pride in the rigorous curriculum we offer, the excellent laboratory facilities we provide, and our team of highly qualified faculty members. Our faculty members have obtained their degrees from prestigious institutions at home and abroad. Their expertise enables us to produce well-qualified and skilled pharmacists who can serve the pharmaceutical sector domestically and internationally and other government sectors related to health and research.
